SM, if I may ask, how do training centers figure into the changes to the overall training system? If you can, would you please let us know your plans for them?

On a related topic, when are our soldiers that were in training when you eliminated Training Centers going to come out of training? All of my soldiers that were in training still are.

Yeah I have some in training still. All 8/8 too which rocks the house! Good thing tho I guess, since they'd simply skill up to 8/8 anyway

sorry for the delayed response to this question, somehow I missed this topic previously
There are no specific plans for Training Centers currently. At some point down the road, Ill look closer at this issue and address it then. For now they can just sit inactive and dont impact the empire
Soldiers that are still in a 'training' status will be returned to the unassigned soldiers section. Not sure exactly when that will be accomplished, but the impact to most empires is minor from this. New hires and volunteers can easily replace any soldier frozen in training.

Oh, sure just like we can easily replace every other skilled soldier we lose due to skillups. PFFT what a joke. You really have no clue how it actually works do you SM? What is it like on your planet? Everything is just happy, happy and fine. FFS wake up man.

Okay, enough is enough about some of the training issues. SM has stated the old training program wouldn't work when transferred. It happens. Sure, the costs and program we have now aren't the best and we have a legit gripe about them, but the issue with soldiers stuck in training is minor compared to having NO training. At least he recognized the issue with NO training and tried to resolve it. If he had done nothing, we would be griping about him doing nothing. Gripe about what we got, but leave some of this petty crap alone. They aren't destroyed, simply busy. You will get them back. Worry about making what we got better.

Yeah sure it's minor Prot, but when added together with everything else, it becomes much like the straw that broke the camel's back. A person can only take so much.
A lot of people with smaller empires sure don't see it as minor. Half their soldiers are in training STILL. If they get hit, they are ****. Maybe you should just speak for yourslf, yes? If you dont mind it, thats fine, but you have NO CLUE how it has affected some empires.
You are starting to sound like SM, if you dont like it leave. Well I have. I just post around here sometimes to keep everyone in perspective.

I have about 3K soldiers stuck in training. About 20% are three gunners. Yes, I'm hurting when I commission my new tanks and they are 4 and 5 gun. No, I'm not happy about it. Yes, I think it sucks. However, given what he had to do and the alternative, I can live with it util he gets it fixed. I couldn't live with the cash flow issues, training bugs, etc. I voiced my opinion so forcefully I was banned from Sarna and NevChat for two weeks. You need to accept there are some things beyond his control. The training program not transferring and needing to be rebuilt from scratch was one of them. He did what he could. It has a half-assed job from the point of view of how it works vs the costs, but once he fixed the cost issue, the only thing you have to **** and moan about now is some gus stuck in training that aren't being affected either way? Find a GOOD reason to piss and whine.

Thing is, it was not beyond his control, he manufactured the problem.
It is OK, I can see we will not see eye to eye on this. You have your opinion I have mine.
Mine just happens to be correct

I tend to agree that this issue is minor compared to many others. It's just another issue
