==Overview:==
The Challenger entered service just as the Fed-Com Civil War was whinding down. The Challenger was built to meet the needs of a hard hitting mech that can tear it's oppeants to pieces and not fall apart from the return fire.
It is hoped that sales of this mech increase as all involved in the Civil War rush to rebuild their militaries to avoid appearing weak to the neighbors.
==Capabilities:==
In building the Challenger the designers at the RMI, tried to meet request that the mech not have to many ammo depeant weapons and that if it could be done it only have one.
The Challenger sports two Magna Sunspot ER PPCs to give it's long range punch and devastating firepower. Backing these up is an Exostar LRM 20, with enough ammo to not run dry when lest expected.
These long range weapons are supported by one Sureshot Streak Streak SRM 4 and two Diverse Optics Type 20X ER Medium Lasers along with a Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Small Laser.
This well round aresenal has made the mech a favortie among the troops of the Dongel Republic and The Cappllean March.
==Battle History:==
The Challenger saw very limited fighting in the closing days of the Fed-Com Civil War, it preformed well and had glowwing praise from the mechwarroirs who had the honor of piloting one.
==Variants:==
Currently there are three variants undering consideration. One have the twin ER PPCs removed in favor of two ER Large Lasers.
Another drops the LRM20 in favor of an LRM15 and another ton of ammo. And third is a full blown refit that has not yet left the drawing boards at RMI.
==Deployment==
In service with forces in the Cappellan March and Donagel Republic. As well as Federated Sun units.
