I'll try to come up with some helpful commentary.

Point 1 - It uses a sword, not the best physical combat weapon, and physical combat weapons generally are pretty worthless. But I understand that it's the POINT of the design.
Point 2 - with 15, it either has more or less heat sinks than it needs. You'll be forced to use either the Large Laser or the Jump Jets sporadically at close range. That being what it is, I'd suggest dropping a sink, and using the LL in an on/off/on pattern. 14 sinks works well with that (3+3+8=14,) and it would net you a ton of armor (recommend you beef up those torsos.)
Point 3 - The torso armor is kinda weak. If you can knock loose a ton somewhere, I'd suggest boosting it to 28/7 and 21/5
Overall, I think it's a good concept. Not a bad machine, but it could use a little tweaking.

The armor issue I agree with...Told that to Chuck after he used it in a battle the first time.
I am going to make adjustments to it for my own use so the armor being improved on it a good idea.

Hmmm...a little on the hot side at range, especially since you should be constantly on the move with a 'Mech like this. I'd be tempted to swap the LL for either a LRM 10 or SRM 6.
The problem with the Large Laser is that with this weapon config, it's too hot to use at long range, but a rather inefficient short-range weapon. I think I'd trade the laser for a SRM 6 and a third ML, or, if you don't want ammo problems, 3 MLs and max the armor.
Also, since this 'Mech is a brawler (physical weapon), max leg armor would be a definite asset for absorbing kicks.
Personally, I don't feel physical weapons are worth the tonnage in most cases, but since that's kinda the focus of this design, I won't mess with it
Overall, I like this design. I just feel it has a slight inefficiency problem
Peace is that glorious moment in history when everyone stands around reloading.

Well, seeing how it's 10 tons heavier than a standard Hatchetman, let's tweak it some more. I would almost rather drop the PPC for a larger engine (5.5 tons heavier) and a 5th jump jet, then probably slap on another medium laser. Now it's an oversized Wolfhound, but you now have the sword and about 20 more tons with which to hit.

Interesting, but then it's more of an Axman spin off....

Doing what you suggest defeats the point of them (DCMS) making a mech similar to the Lyran Hatchetman which is the whole point behind this mech.

*coughs* speaking as a loyal member of the Combine and a retired regimental commander in the DCMS I have this to say.. interesting, but lacking, since stealth is a good factor, perhaps drop the LL PPC and Las for some pulse weaponry, give it the ability to strike fast and steadily instead of one strike that may or may not hit. for its tonnage its very very slow if its meant to be a mobile unit, specially if the mech is bearing a sword; it could use a bit more speed curve to strike with its sword.. as to the armor, FerroF of some kind might prove a bit more durable for the same tonnage.. The large jump capacity is nice yes, but again heat and tonnage should be thought of; dropping a pair of them and adding in a bit more armor to vital locations and a ECM/BAP for an edge, since Bushido is the way of the warrior.. and that way should include both a strong offense and a good defense without sacraficing the ability to vanish into the terrain.
Greetings Mechwarrior.

This looks like something FASA should have published a along time ago, I always figured they did. Well, it could use more armor, I'd drop anything I could and max it all out, It should be distracting and hard to kill on the battlefeild, it can run around asorbing fire while displacing units and chopping up units too slow to run. I'd think mechs like this need to be mobile and agressive and have lots of armor, it makes it really annoying and difficult to destroy ontop of that. Plus, the mech could be all decked out in budisho-era armor plating or something, since innersphere mechs all look like people anyways.
Anyways, max out the armor, maybe drop the LL down to some smaller weapons.
