I don't think so, we at comstar at least don't gain membership or support from false pretences, we know that we cannot preserve technology the way it was ment to. be warned we will be back to free neveron from the WoB, for i know that we can never live in peace.

So nuking the hell out of Outreach is helping to preserve technology? I would have thought the exact opposite would have been the case.

There have been unfortunate incidents in the past and while I am not in possesion of all of the facts regarding them rest assured that we have done only what is required to maintain peace and knowledge throughout the inner sphere. The people of Outreach were unfortunate casualties of war and will be have been honored as such and for their sacrifice they shall recieve a place at Blake's side, May we all be as fortunate.

BTW wasn't Blake the guy who set up COM Star to preserve the (can't think of the name right now) intergalactic telephones duering the sucession wars and I don't remember him saying anything about "you shall smite anyone with a different favorite colour" which tipifies BT Wobs line of thinking. I do remember him saying something about not medaling in other peoples affairs.

Hyper Pulse Generators are under the protection of Blake, but as with all things Blake's Will has evolved to help meet the needs of all people of the IS and I shall make no excuses for the actions on Outreach but there are those who would threaten all of humanity with their reckless use of Weapons of mass destruction. Is it not better that one world be sacrified to avoid the atrocities of the First Succession War all over again for the casualties of the war far exceeded outreach, some knowledge is not intended for manknds hands

You are not our mothers! there are many land wars that happen and yet you do not step in and stop them, you sit and watch as they kill each other and the tech is lost. I myself have watched as the Shrek Tanks stoped being produced. watched as they died on the battlefeild, watched as they got harder to find. The WoB preaches about peace and saveing the Tech on nev whyle infact you are no better than the reast of us on nev!! infact you are worse because you wrap your evil in a cloke of nobility and lies. go preach your lies to someone who cares, the WoB is is the epipheny of evil on neveron. You see the new Comstar does not live in our own world, so deluded in our lies that we cannot see the truth. if we wish to attack we will do so and honorably. we do not wish to see the destruction of the tech on nev, but we know it is inevitable that some will be lost in the following battles. I'm done ranting for now.

All life spirals towards destruction as many including some of or own are consumed in the desire to take of the wealth that is Neveron, even if it was within our ability to stop all the wars and skirmishing on Neveron it would be to no avail as the people of this world are not prepared to accept peace yet but for those that are we assist as our resources allow and while some technology is lost to Neveron rest assured that it is not lost to the rest of the Inner Sphere for we have managed to preserve the entire core design database in several secured bunkers and data cores. And their exists technology which is beyond the control of mankind as he has yet to learn from his mistakes but given time wisdom and guidance we feel that a protectorate will arise from these troubled times

"these troubled times"? the time are not troubled, they are exactly what they have been since the beginning. for the people that want peace and are at war, how do you settle it? do you do peace negotiations, do you threaten them, or do you just attack them and destroy everything they had accomplished? the people of Neveron want peace but they also want war, its our nature. we fight because we can, there is no logic to it. of you believe that you can bring peace to Neveron or a small part of it you are delusional. even Comstar sees that this is inevitable. we fight because we can and we can because there are new empires rising and falling, but we can not stop them. i will leave you to your fancies but hear me, your protectorate will fail, and a peace made in fear is no peace at all, am i right?

Aye, Precentor Irelon. History has shown us that peace cannot come through superior firepower. The Word of Blake is even less committed to the writings, teachings, and ideals of either Jerome Blake OR Conrad Toyama. You claim to be the true inheritors of Blake's Legacy, but what is his legacy worth when technology is used to enslave and destroy that which ComStar was originally entrusted to protect and enlighten? Is it worth the innocent blood you have spilled to conquer planets that you had no need of? I think not.
If you WoBblies think you need to "enlighten" my homeland, you shall find the fires of humanity stoked and burning in a desire to destroy that which blasphemes the name "Blake".

Entropy is indeed a fact of life. That everything will spiral into chaos unless energy is used to stop the spiral is given. What I am curious about, however, is why WoB took it upon themselves to destroy the humanity it is supposed to be protecting. WoB went out of their way to destroy Outreach, who, to the best of my knowledge, never threatened WoB. In fact, they offered WoB a seat on the MRBC, which WoB declined. The only way I could see Outreach being a threat to WoB would be if a contract was accepted against WoB, and I have no recollection of any such contract. WoB claims to exist in order to protect technology and humanity, however, all the evidence I am seeing points instead to a power-hungry group of religious fanatics intent on denying technology to humanity.

Okay, this is a bit off topic, but when did the WoBblies nuke Outreach? Last I checked, they were offered a seat on the MRBC and the Dragoons were the soverign rulers of the planet, not at all unlike Northwind and the Northwind Highlanders... Please tell me this is in a novel that I can buy somewhere...

I will admit, that my information is second hand. However, I have heard it so many times, from different people, that I am proceeding under the assumption that it is correct. I have never been quite fond of WoB myself, so I am not too terribly surprised that they would pull a stunt such as this. I haven't read any new BT fiction for a while, so I've missed quite a bit.

I never said that we are the true inheritors of Blake's Legacy, after all that is said and done we went on a different path. But also we believe that the WoB are not the true inheritors of Blake’s legacy. We did try to follow the teachings of Blake but it is hard to do after all that has happened since the beginning. Now our leaders are almost nonexistent, our armies small and meager, and the empires "loyal" to Comstar would leave our alliance if something went wrong. We live to protect the tech that WE have accumulated. And we shall, as long as we can. I have had armies destroyed in land wars that I had nothing to do with except to protect the smaller empire, we won but at a cost to high for both sides. in total over 2 battalions worth of troops have died under my command or at my hands, and I cringe that i was the one who sent them to their deaths. If you think that Comstar conquers planets that we had no need of then that is what you see. Now again I cannot speak for the first incarnation of Comstar on Neveron, but we do not start wars with people for no good reason. We have yet to START a land war or even be attacked by someone who didn't attack an friend first. I must agree that technology is used to enslave and destroy but look at others standpoints, this is something that the WoB usually dose not seem to do, to them it could be to protect their homes and families. Comstar does not wish to end in a war with the WoB because we know that one day they will come back. BUT we also know that Neveron could be a better place without their short sightedness. And Adept I am Presentor-Martial Irelon not just a Presentor.

Thank you Demi-Precentor Khajjah, your words are better spoken than some of the WoB Commanders that i have known. we will stay true to our natre as long as we can but also you must come to realize that no matter what happens the WoB and Comstar cannot live in peace. i regret to say this but one day there will be a war, and we are helpless to stop it. the path of the WoB and Comstar has been chosen, BUT there will never be a victor in a war like that.... as i said we will stay peacful as long as the WoB does the same. But when this war finally catches up to us neveron will once again become a giant pool of blood.
