I've just taken a serious morale hit 1million a real life day near enought. I havn't been attacked and the only things I can think of that could lower my morale is that I disbanded 2 infantry unuits but I'd just comisioned them and a pair of EV's so i would emagine it would balence it out. I don't suppose having the faction tax rate incressed effects morale does it?

All my empires are losing morale like crazy !!
Most have not attacked/dueled for over 6 months. Some have not built anything, commisioned , researched, been attacked or lost a zone and used to slowly increase in morale. All are now losing at a vast rate eg 372-348 in one day , or 489-432 in one day .
In some of the empires I have tried an emergency building program with more commercials being built but they can't keep up with the money lost from the morale decreases, and thats putting up a new 100cf comm +4 pop bldgs per real day .
I spent ages getting a nice increase going in morale , all ruined in a couple of days . It seems to be since the hacker attack. Lets hope Randy or Wayward can stop the morale slide and perhaps bump every one up to compensate (I'm not holding my breath on this one !!)

Actually my morale has been going down at a pretty fair rate too. It is kinda tough to tell whether things are the result of the hackers or the new changes though.

I've had this problem, too. My morale has been sliding for the past week, I asked people in Nevchat about it and they thought I was crazy. I tried building comm/res to help boost my daily income but it's lower now than it was before I started my building program.
I think Randy has screwed with the morale setting in order to reduce everyone's income. If everyone has less money, prices for weapons and mechs will begin to fall, that way he can quelch everyone's complaining about the rampent inflation Nev has been experiencing lately. Do you think I'm crazy?

Well I have several level 4 and 5s that have never been in any kind of war , never fought a duel, not commissioned/decommissioned for a month, and all are dropping morale.

Actually Randy fixed Morale...it was broke. It was not dropping at the correct rate and in some instances it was even increasing morale over time. The current drop rates are normal, atleast that what they are gunna stay at. Randy is forcing you to have to be involved in Neveron... i.e... LandWarring, Dueling Arenas etc. .......thats just how it is..... either play along or be poorer... you really have no choice.

daft thing is LWing cost more than the return and seeing as my oponents never miss in a duel arena I've no chance of winning there
