Demand for a MechWarrior 3rd ed. character creation program

I am curious to know how many people would appreciate/use a program which would greatly reduce the time required to create a character for MW 3rd edition. I am in the process of writing such a program for myself and my friends, and would consider posting it if there were a demand. My hope is that it would be very extensive and complete in all ways. Please let me know.

If I understand correctly, Rick Raisley, creator of the "Heavy Metal" design program series, is currently working on an official MW3 character creation program.
That's not to say you shouldn't write yours, just FYI. heavymetalpro.com has a forum dedicated to the project, if you'd like to peruse.

Okay i'm gonna be the ass on this subject now. I thought 3rd edition basically created a quick character creation system through dice rolls? Hell, I could make a comprehensive interpretation of that with Visual Basic in a weekend (and if I had any skills I could do it in an afternoon).
Dog sorry, sometimes I can't hold back the ash ole in me.

Yeah, and I could cobble together a C++ version in a weekend if I really felt the urge. Give me a few more months, I'll make it in Java (portability, baby).
But I don't feel like putting up with the headache. Since I didn't answer the initial question, yes, I would be interested in your program. I'd also be interested in seeing the code, if it's in VB, C++, or Java.

Interest does indeed exist in such a program.

Yes, I would love a program like that. I found one on the DL page and it didn't even extract on my computer, so if you make a program, I would really you posting it.
