Harbringers of Devastation, Part I

From the depths of horror; a new plague.

The blast could not have been more powerful; the red beam of light seared through the armor on the left side of his mech, tearing internal components out of the chassis of his mech in a small crimson explosion. Damage indicators lit up across the console on his mech as he twisted to the side to face the new foe. His gaze was cold and calculating as his eyes were affixed forward, any normal warrior might have began panicing at the extreme damage being inflicted upon his machine; but not this pilot. He calmly watched as his opponent, skillfully piloting a Thunderbolt continued to charge toward him; its torso mounted medium lasers tearing chunks out of his left side armor as its large laser continued to recycle. With fluidic motion; the left arm of his mech raised toward his opponent; the damaged actuators grinding with horrific noise. The arm mounted particle projection cannon unleashed a torrent of hell toward the Thunderbolt, striking perfectly against the Thunderbolt's right shoulder. The actuator melted under the raw power of the cannon, the arm falling limp beside the Thunderbolt. The opposing pilot seemed to hesitate for a moment...one moment too long; the particle projection cannon rang out again, smashing into the head of the Thunderbolt. The cockpit of the mech exploded from the back of the mech's head as the remainder of the chasis listed foward and slammed into the ground at the feet of a modified Marauder Assault Mech. The pilot of the Marauder smirked lightly; stepping over the lifeless hulk as it scanned for more targets.

The lance of vengeance is fierce, and strikes fear into the hearts of its enemies. Those who dare oppose the Clans will feel my righteous fury. Who dares challenge me next? The pilot smirked, that thought running through his head as he continued to pilot the Marauder through the uneven terrain plaguing the landscape infront of him. Indeed, this battle has only just begun...
