I just got hit by a pirate! Story to come soon but in any case I totally Owned them!  (Btw this is my First LW experince in a LONG time so I enjoyed it alot!)

Wow.
Lemme count on my fingers real quick.
*frantic counting*
I think I've been hit by pirates...6-8 times. Between 4 empires. One hasn't been hit yet though.
Well, I haven't logged in yet, so it may be more...
Yeah, pirates do suck. I was attacked by a marauding Hoplite, and someone in chat said that they were hit by an EV batt.

Well there was just one pirate unit(was hoping to face another one, but to no avail  ) But it was a rather....errr.....large mech.... 80 ton Assault class....And my heavyest mech is a 35 tonner, and that wasn't even in the battle!  .....but I will make a short story about my first Pirate attack! Then you can learn what all happend!

Once I got hit by a company of FL-J infantry while my Firestarter was in training. All I had was a Trebuchet (8 rounds of LRM vs 12 inf....), so I said screw it and let them kill themselves on ABR.

lol, You could have won....if every single one of your shot's hit and cuased an uber amount of damage and could spread out between the Platoons.......yeah.....in other word's I think I would have done the same thing. lousy infantry spammer's .

“Power up initiated, all system nominal.” The computer’s reverb voice stated as Steelo flipped the master power up switch on “Halo”. The name he gave the Commando-2D he was assigned to. He waited anxiously for the hanger director to signal him out. A trio of Scorpion tank’s rolled by followed by a larger Goblin with a crudely painted on word on its side, Ravage. They were then followed up by a lance of SRM-Jeep’s that were meant nominally for fighting in the Arena’s of Neveron. Steelo had met the driver and gunner’s of the jeep’s a few weeks back. They were stereo typical jock’s, cocky, ignorant and a ego the size of an Atlas. “Steelo, you are cleared to exit the hanger. Proceed to the designated way point and await further instructions.”
“Roj that, moving out.” He throttled up and exited the hanger in a semi-quick hast. It was a beautiful day out, nothing but clear blue sky’s as far as the eye could see. What distasteful time for pirate marauder’s to attack. He reached the way point in record time, eager to fight. The arena jocks took a more relaxed approach. to there Way point, which just so happened to be were Steelo was. Steelo sat in his command chair with his arm’s crossed, looking around the deserted city for the enemy to rear it‘s head. 20 tense minute’s followed by, nothing. Steelo was about to contact headquarters' to verify if the pirates had moved into the zone when the commander of the tank lance spoke on the com. “We have enemy contact’s over here!...Correction we have a contact....Assault class Mech.”
A icy prick of fear ran down Steelo’s spine. Not soon after the Tank commander sent the com the unmistakable sounds of autocannon and laser fire. He throttled up Halo to full and raced towards the scene. The Arena jock’s seemed less than enthusiastic than Steelo at the sighting of the enemy, so they proceeded at a more relaxed pace. A loud boom followed by the ear piercing shriek of metal grinding together echoed through Apollo city. “Damn, Steelo we could use your help over here ASAP. One of my tanks just got disabled.” The commander’s voice was filled with excitement. Standard Starsiege code required that if a unit was incapacitated that the remaining Lance unit’s were to surround and provide cover for the unit. “Acknowledged commander. I’m moving as fast as I can, E.T.A. is 40 seconds.” He was already pushing his mech to the limit. when he got into visual range of the lone pirate mech he saw the vivid outline of a Zeus class Battlemech. It seemed to a wobble when it walked, a good sign that the pilot wasn’t skilled. A few seconds later he got into weapons range and blasted the Zeus with a flurry of missile’s and a pot shot from his Mech‘s only laser.
All of which missed. The Zeus pilot responded by blasting PPC projectile off into the sky. The heat signature of the Zeus sky rocketed on Steelo’s thermal scanner, not only was smoke bellowing from the several dozen hole’s in it’s armor but now the extreme heat that it was giving off surrounded it in a thin white cloud of steam. Steelo let loose another flurry of missile’s and another burst from his laser. Pock marking the leg’s and torso of the assault mech. It fired off another PPC shot at the lead Scorpion tank scorching the ground next to the light tank. The Zeus only after a few moments slowly stopped and then slumped over as the mech automatically shut down. Steelo attempted to positioned his mech behind the Zeus hoping to deliver an almost point blank range shot into it’s rear armor. The mech came back to life just as Steelo got behind it. The Zeus spun around and poised it’s arm’s up ready to fire at him. Several AC/5 round pinged off it’s armor and jerked it’s torso to the left allowing him enough time to retreat to a safer distance. And blasted the Zeus with another flurry of SRM’s but only caused several small crater’s to appear in the ground next to it.
A Large laser blast from the Goblin probed deep into the Assault Mech’s exposed Left side and ruptured a heat sink. Causing the mech to bleed a alien green from it’s left torso. Another blast from the tank’s toppled the Assault Mech on it’s back. Steelo moved his mech forward a few more meter’s and got blasted by a medium laser in the leg. “Warning. Armor deficiency detected on left leg, adjusting Gyro to compensate.” The computer exclaimed in it‘s reverb voice. The effect of losing over half of it’s armor in that location caused his mech to limp for a bit, but the computer corrected the weight deference and it was back to normal walking and running again. The Zeus’ pilot attempted to get his mech back up but the torrent of fire prevented it from getting up. When it did get up though, it was hit by an almost perfectly time blast from the tank’s, Steelo’s mech and the only Arena jock jeep to approach. The Zeus walked forward one step and then exploded in a miniature nova. “Good work people, all hostiles have been eliminated. Return to base for debriefing.”

98% of this is what happend durring my scuffle with the Pirate. I say 98 becuase of the Fluff needed to make it somewhat entertaining  And yes unintentionally this was Steely's first battle on Neveron.

The final damage report(does not include Ammo needed):
1 Critically damaged Scorpion-A3
Missing a tread. and is missing 18 armor points, only 1 point in the front section and 13 in the turret.
1 Damaged Scorpion-A3
Front armor is down to 9 point's.
1 Damaged Commando-2D
Left leg is down to 3 point's.

you did a nice job off what I'm guessing whas a pretty uninteresting battle. as always, be careful about how you break up your sentences.
