Here is my take on it.
People complained about gang banging.
People quit over FWar.
Ergo, getting rid of FWar will probably be more helpful than trying to work out convoluted impossible to exploit ways to stop gang banging.
By the by, will people ever stop complaining about HoC? Yes we get it, blood enemy, destroyers of innocence, etc. All they did was extend a hand to the newbies, teach them play, and managed to get a lot of good land war players. Do the same and you may find it works out better than slinging total bull crap around the forums. (Of course this requires a game environment where the newbies don't begin on death and desecration made real. I honestly haven't been around lately so I don't know if that is still a feature.)
BTW, I was FWLM and never HoC, so don't even think about writing me off as some HoCer.
