A new development release of MekHQ was released on September 5. More than 120 changes were announced to the freeware utility.
MekHQ is a java program designed to enable you to run your own unit, and it comes with a lot of bells and whistles, including contracts, upkeep and repair, salary, hiring new people for your unit, transportation, and more. It allows you to run your campaign, so you don’t have to keep track of those things, plus it works seamlessly with MegaMek to run games.
Release 0.3.1 comes with a bevy of changes. In addition to many bug fixes, there are a variety of new features and changes. Some of the highlights include giving random experience to new recruits, new banks to loan money from, additions of prisoners and bondsmen via right click menu, and fixing some UI concerns, such as combining tabs and adding menu items.
You can check out the complete (and long) list of changes here. With the latest release of a MegaMek version just a few days ago, and now this, it’s a great time to download them and try them out!
