[edit] Description
The "King David" is a heavier version of the "David" infantry gauss rifle which features better recoil management and ammunition feeds. It has a longer effective range than its lighter counterpart, but its damage potential against vehicles is more or less the same. The King David is too heavy be properly wielded by conventional infantry, so it is normally tripod-mounted. Even then it requires two people to operate it, a gunner and a loader. Because of this, it is mostly used by conventional infantry in static defenses.
After the appropriate modifications, the King David can be mounted on battle armor such as the Phalanx of the Free Worlds League.
