History[edit]

In May 3050 the Sixty-seventh Assault Cluster was part of Beta Galaxy and stationed on Londerholm when Clan Ice Hellion attacked.[1] The Sixty-seventh was initially pushed back, but after several days they joined forces with Clan Smoke Jaguar forces on world and inflicted heavy losses on the Hellions.[2]

When Beta Galaxy was disbanded in 3054 the Sixty-seventh was transferred to Delta Galaxy.[3] They maintained their garrison posting on Londerholm until at least 3060.[4] By 3067 the Sixty-seventh was stationed on the world of Foster.[5]

Wars of Reaving[edit]

The Sixty-seventh along with the rest of Delta Galaxy moved to Foster and laid siege to the Clan Goliath Scorpion enclave there. Delta had slowly been devastating the industrial areas with long range artillery barrages from positions on the hills overlooking the area. In March 3073 Scorpion reinforcements landed on to the planet and led a flanking charge of Delta, quickly overrunning one artillery position. An air strike from the Sixty-seventh blunted the Scorpion attack destroying the Sixteenth Scorpion Dragoons as the Coyotes retreated. The Sixty-seventh then turned and counter-attacked the Scorpions. When the Ninth and Thirty-fourth Strike Clusters arrived the Scorpion's Gamma Galaxy was crushed. By June 3073 Delta had pulled off planet.[6]

The Sixty-seventh was part of the force that assaulted Vinton in August 3073 after months of hard fighting they withdrew in July 3074.[7] In December 3074 the Steel Vipers launched a massive assault on against Clan Coyote on Tamaron with six Galaxies and a large naval force. Delta Galaxy including the Sixty-seventh was part of the Coyote defending force. The Vipers made planetfall despite the fierce aerospace attacks. After a week fighting the Viper forces made for their objectives, several major factory complexes in the Apache Mountains before moving on to the capital. The fighting to defend the capital city saw Delta Galaxy and the Sixty-seventh destroyed.[8]

Officers[edit]

In 3050 the Sixty-seventh was commanded by Star Colonel Pillan Levine.[1] He was still in command in 3061.[9] By 3067 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Neal Hill.[5]

Tactics[edit]

The warriors of the cluster had a practice of painting nightmarish images and garish faces on their ’Mechs to distract their opponents.[1]
