The Eighth Scorpion Uhlans were stationed on Roche to defend the Scorpion's homeworld.[1] In 3067 however, a small detachment was assigned to Strana Mechty.[2]

As of 3061 the commanding officer was Star Colonel Josip Posavatz.[1] He was still in command in 3067.[2]

Like all Gamma Galaxy forces, the Eighth Scorpion Uhlans were skilled in driving the enemy toward pre-positioned defensive emplacements.[1]
