Antonia Chinn was a member of the Amaterasu Regiment in Katana Tormark's Dragon's Fury unit.

Personal Appearance[edit]

Chinn was a small and delicate woman, with Eurasian features, including brown hair and green eyes. Her soft-spoken demeanor was however contrasted by the reality of her lethal nature.[2]

History[edit]

Amaterasu[edit]

Chinn was a third-generation MechWarrior whose ancestors served both in the original Ninth Sword of Light and the Izanagi Warriors. She was motivated from birth to take up the family traditions of duty and fealty to the values of the Draconis Combine. This drive led to her beginning training at a young age, and by the time she graduated from formal 'Mech training as a member of the Republic Standing Guard she was already rated a veteran warrior. She was also an excellent field commander and tactician, both in BattleMech warfare and combined-arms engagements.[2]

Antonia is a torn woman by her desire to reconcile the loyalties of her past with the state of the Republic of the Sphere today. When The Republic first formed, Coordinator Hohiro Kurita gifted the newborn Ninth Sword of Light to the Republic's armed forces bounding its warriors by extension to The Republic. The chaos in the aftermath of the Blackout left Antonia questioning the values upon which she had based her life. She was uncertain of whether forming an independent faction against The Republic would honor the Combine today, or whether it would be a sleight to her ancestors, which made Antonia one of Katana Tormark's more reluctant followers. Her reluctance is showing more clearly with each passing engagement in which Antonia is in command. She appears to shy away from inflicting heavy casualties on Republic forces, though she will assault members of other splinter factions who have strayed from The Republic's ideals.[2] In one of these engagements she destroyed a Swordsworn Centurion and a Joust medium tank.[3]

Death[edit]

Chinn was killed in battle against Draconis Combine forces in 3135 on Ancha.[1]

BattleMech[edit]

Chinn was known to have piloted a Thor Omnimech, serial number JF900-23C, that was formerly owned by Star Colonel Nicolai Malthus until it was lost on Somerset and later recovered. Serving with the Federated Commonwealth for a time, it passed to a Mercenary unit which helped hide Draconis Combine peacekeepers on Yorii before the outbreak of the FedCom Civil War. From there it was captured by the Combine, who assigned it to the Ninth Sword of Light, before it was gifted to the Republic of the Sphere. After the Blackout, it fell into the hands of the Dragon's Fury and Chinn, who nicknamed the 'Mech Kanazuchi (i.e. Hammer).[2][4]
