While working for the Outworlds Alliance, their standard assignment was garrison and pirate hunting.[1] The unit was deployed in Rudolpho at least between 3058 and 3059.[1][2]
When the Alliance formed the 1st Long Road Legion Command Battalion (Shooting Stars) and assigned it to the 2nd Alliance Air Wing, Chairman Seymore Hares jumped at the change and using as a core his unit the Thermo Police and also Bammer's Bunch, as core of the new unit, quickly growing from two companies to a full regiment.[3]
