Series Record Sheets
Preceded by BattleTech Record Sheets Volume Two: Medium 'Mechs
Followed by BattleTech Record Sheets Volume Four: Assault 'Mechs

Like with all books from this series, the title is arbitrary as it is spelled differently throughout the book itself (always in capital letters):

  • BattleTech Record Sheets Volume Three Heavy Mechs (Cover)
  • Record Sheets Volume Three: Heavy 'Mechs (self reference on back cover)
  • BattleTech Record Sheets Vol.3: Heavy Mechs (trademark note on back cover)
  • BattleTech Record Sheets Volume Three: Heavy Mechs (first page inside)
  • BattleTech Record Sheets: Heavy 'Mechs (masthead on contents page inside and trademark)

Similarly, the copyright is variably given as 1990 or 1991.

Description[edit]

The third in the initial series, Record Sheets Volume Three: Heavy 'Mechs provides filled-out sheets of sourcebook BattleMechs and OmniMechs and TRO variants from the 2750, 3025, and 3050 eras, along with a table listing the Combat Value for all officially released heavy 'Mechs up to that point.

Like with all books from the series, the title is arbitrary and spelled differently throughout the book itself. "'Mechs" is sometimes written with an apostrophe, sometimes without and "Volume Three" is written as both "Volume 3" and "Vol.3" on the book's back cover, and omitted entirely on the inside. Similarly, the copyright is variably given as 1990 or 1991.

From the back cover[edit]

75 tons of devastating firepower. Nothing can stand in a BattleMech's way, except another 'Mech! This book compiles for the first time the BattleTech statistics for the variant Inner Sphere & Clan 'Mech designs. Some are rare, others unique, and each could be that extra surprise you need for victory.

BattleTech Record Sheets Volume 3: Heavy 'Mechs contains heavy 'Mech variants from the 2750, 3025, and 3050 eras of BattleMechs. Included are record sheets for over 45 'Mechs, each with full technical statistics. Included are:

BMB-12D Bombardier
CHP-1N Champion
EXT-4D Exterminator
GLT-5M Guillotine
LGB-0W Longbow
Loki A OmniMech
Mad Cat B OmniMech

Contents[edit]

The book includes record sheets of the following 'Mechs:

Notes[edit]

While the book announced the Longbow on its back cover, it contains no record sheet for this assault-class 'Mech. This might be because the source first mentioning the Longbow, Sorenson's Sabres (scenario pack), erroneously described it as a 60-ton 'Mech, which would fall into the Heavy category (although the stats provided clearly marked it as an 80-ton assault 'Mech). Further, "LGB-0W" was spelled with the digit "0" (zero) here, whereas the BattleTech Record Sheets Volume Four: Assault 'Mechs book uses the designation LGB-OW, spelling it with the letter "O".
