Custom vs Fan
while i understand the need for policy, and for me, Custom is just as good as fan, but i am curious by what definition are you usinging one term vrs the other? For example, Custom rules are called "fan creations" ?--Dielgore 03:34, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Dielgore, can you re-state? I think you're asking why we use 'custom' sometimes and 'fan creations' other times. The use of 'custom' came about (IIRC) because I was trying to keep category names from becoming so long or individualized, that they couldn't be done from memory. Where do you see 'fan creation,' so that I may address the difference?--Revanche (talk|contribs) 04:08, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- We started with custom units (BattleMechs, vehicles, etc.). It was only after people starting adding fan-created commands and manufacturing centers that we realized people might want more than that. We just stuck with "Custom" to keep in all consistent and instantly recognizable. --Scaletail 22:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I appreciate the feedback! I will be glad to stick with the standards!
Thanks Guys! :)
