Planetary History[edit]

First Succession War[edit]

During the First Succession War, Chandler was a border planet between the Lyran Commonwealth and Draconis Combine. The war damaged the planet, who was starving, and was one of those chosen to receive mercy runs in form of food from the civilian JumpShip Chahar Profit, but in 2827, when jumping to Chandler, the Profit misjumped to the Darius system, in Combine space, and was captured by their forces. However, the ship was rescued by Lyran forces and finally get his way to Chandler, where received an ecstatic welcome from the people of the planet. But the Combine don't forget or forgive the humiliation of having lost the captured ship: In January of 2828, some of their troops attacked Chandler, and in an obvious reprisal against the Profit's rescue, set fire to the planetary food and freshwater stores in the planetary capital.[43]
