The Corella system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 3145 was located in the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[2][3]

The Corella system is located near the Haappajarvi and Hadnall systems.[2][3]

Corella is mentioned for the Battle of Kilgour in the [[apocryphal] BattleTechnology magazine (issue #0101), where a battle in July 3027 is described in detail, including mentioning landmarks and other details about Corella II. It is described as a terrestrial planet with somewhat smaller oceans and markedly larger deserts, the large southern continent being a single vast prairie of mutated Terran wheat.

Corella is mentioned to be a breadbasket world as well as a transportation hub system.

The Corella system was colonized during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra and was a member of the St. Ives Mercantile League prior to the formation of the Capellan Confederation in the mid-twenty-fourth century.[4]
