Vessel Profile
Type WarShip
Class Impavido

The FWLS Phyrgia, an Impavido-class destroyer, had been due to enter service in December 3058, but problems with the maneuvering drive fittings identified during testing a month before launch and as a result the Phyrgia didn't complete testing and shakedown trials under the command of Lieutenant Commander Diran Adebeyo until early to mid 3059.[1]

By 3067 the Phyrgia had been in service for the better part of a decade and was one of three destroyers of her class known to be on active service, serving alongside the FWLS Impavido and FWLS Janos Marik.[2] The Phyrgia and another Free Worlds League destroyer, the Essex-class FWLS Raven, were destroyed in the Atreus system in 3077 by the Word of Blake.[3]

The destruction of the Phrygia and seven other Free Worlds League WarShips unaccounted for specifically by name in sourcebooks was confirmed by the BattleTech Developer Øystein Tvedten via the Catalyst Game Labs Ask The Writers Forum:

Delphi (Thera-Class) - Destroyed by Word of Blake, 3068

Thessaly (Thera-Class) - never completed, scuttled in dock by loyalists to keep it out of blakists hands in 3068

With regards,
