In the year 2996, forces from the Federated Suns and the Draconis Combine clashed over Hean. The vessel Red Eagle was known to be present in system.[1]
The Word of Blake conquered Hean in a quick campaign during the second week of August 3069 and incorporated it into the Word of Blake Protectorate.[2] In 3077, Federated Suns forces arrived in the system as part of Operation SCOUR. There they faced a previously-unknown SDS that destroyed the FSS Indefatigable and inflicted serious losses on the 15th Arcturan Guards and Fox's Teeth. The Coalition forces withdrew from the system.[3][4]

- In Dark Age: Republic Worlds (3130), there is a Prefecture IV world listed as Hoan. As Hean is located in the same prefecture and does not show up in that product, the presumption is 'Hoan' is a mis-spelling or a re-naming of 'Hean'.
