Planetary History[edit]
Despite the campaign being waged under the name Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE by the Duke of the Capellan March, George Hasek, against the Capellan Confederation bogging down in due to counterattacks from Capellan forces, the Federated Suns troops still managed to secure control of Aldertaine, Glasgow, Hexare, Homestead, Imalda and New Westin by the 20th of August 3068.[17] The 4th Illician Rangers regiment of the mercenary Illician Lancers brigade were responsible for the capture of Hexare, and were still in place when Renshield's Dragoons arrived to recapture the planet. The Dragoons had greater air support than the Rangers, forcing the Rangers onto the defensive from the outset; the Rangers managed to successfully hold off the Dragoons until the Rangers' command company was broken by a Capellan attack. The Rangers survived to retreat to Uravan in the closing days of 3068, but only because Major "Rawhide" Francis led his battalion of the Rangers against the Dragoons long enough to give the other elements of the Fourth time to retreat.[18]
