Jessica Halas-Hughes Marik - (Born 3064)[1] daughter of the imposter Thomas Marik & Lady Sherryl Halas.
By the 3130s she had become the Captain-General of the Oriente Protectorate located within the shattered remains of the Free Worlds League
She loves her late father very dearly, believeing him to be the finest leader the League had ever known. She is very dedicated to the dream of reuniting the Free Worlds League. She uses her own family tasks to strengthen her efforts shore up
She has two (bitter) rivials who are against her reunification efforts. Captain-Generals Lester Cameron-Jones of Regulan Fiefs and Anson Marik of Marik-Stewart Commonwealth.

At six years old, she and her mother survived an assassination attempt & escaped the Marik Palace on Atreus when Paul Marik's coup in 3070. The coup claimed the lives of her older brothers Janos and Christopher.
Wedded Philip Hughes and had five children: Janos, Julietta, decades later Elis, Christopher and Nikol.
After the HPG network collapsed, she started her forces to seize worlds from the Republic of the Sphere's Prefecture VI. Having sent her elite Eagle's Talons battalion to Wyatt and try seize it with its newly functional HPG Station.
In 3134, she received an invitation to attended the funeral of Victor Steiner-Davion. She dispatched her children on missions to strengthen the Oriente, while secretly setting into motion Operation Stormdrain to strengthen Oriente efforts for the reunification of the League.
Jessica and her daughter Nikol traveled to Terra. During the course of events, she arranged for her daughter to meet rivals Lester & Anson to witness their hatred for her. Then met with Chancellor Daoshen Liao to broker an agreement for the further invasion of Republic Prefectures V & VI.
By 3137, her operations have been successful, but two of her children are attacked and one killed. After receiving verbal conditions from Duke Fontaine Marik, she needs Marik blood to cement her claim for the League and his support. She decided, that she will marry a Marik, and let her husband ask Thaddeus Marik to marry her.
In January 3138, she sends the Eagle Talon's to destroy a Mech assembly plant on Kwamashu. Learning a month later that her 'Talons were destroyed, with an incident that caused the planet to be poisoned by the explosion of the Mech plant thus triggering a war between the Orientes and Auderian.
In August, she marries Thaddeus Marik.
In April of 3139, she calls Oriente's allies to fight off Regulan forces occupying Atreus, calling it Operation Homecoming.
On July 3rd, she was installed as Captain-General of the newly-reborn Free Worlds League.
