The Liao Republic Standing Guard were the militia unit formed by the Republic of the Sphere from local men and women to defend Liao from outside aggression.
History[edit]
In 3111 a member of the Liao Standing Guard allows elements of the CCAF to land on the planet triggering The Massacre of Liao leaveing thousands dead. This has led to the unit being used to keep Liao Conservatory of Military Arts students considered to be of questionable loyalty to the Republic.[1]

Tactics[edit]
Like most Republic Standing Guard units, the Liao RSG was very familiar with their homeworld's terrain and have become experts at long-ranged combat taking advantage of the vast open spaces available to them.[1]
