The Manapire system was home to at least one habitable world and as of 3151 was located in the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[1]

System Description[edit]

Manapire is located near the Wantorill and Ife systems and is Rimward from Terra.[1]

System History[edit]

The Manapire system was colonized sometime during the reign of the Star League before 2750.[2]

The Jihad[edit]

In 3068, Duke George Hasek launched an invasion of the Capellan Confederation under the name Operation SOVEREIGN JUSTICE, ostensibly to liberate the worlds of the St. Ives Compact.[43] The CCAF responded with Operation THUNDERSTRIKE, which not only liberated the worlds seized by the Capellan March forces but which also struck back at worlds in the Federated Suns. Manapire was one of the worlds hit, with CCAF troops attacking on 18 February 3069 as part of a wave of attacks that hit eight separate systems on the same day.[44]

The Victoria War[edit]

In response to the Federated Suns assault on the Victoria system, the Capellan Confederation would launch attacks against several worlds in the Ziliang Salient. On 21 February 3104, the First Raventhir Cuirassiers would attack and seize Manapire against little resistance. Later that same year, the Eighth Syrtis Fusiliers would attempt to drive off the Magistracy of Canopus forces, but their assault failed as the Cuirassiers were too well dug in. Manapire was now a part of the Capellan Confederation.[45]
