Marie Rose was a MechWarrior with the Northwind Highlanders.[1]
History[edit]
Marie Rose was considered an excellent warrior and leader. When Marie's second born son Daniel was younger, he had been unable to pronounce the name of her BattleMech, a Thunderbolt, transforming even the oft used abbreviation of T-Bolt into T-Bol before finally settling on Tea Bowl. Though he would grow up enough pronounce it correctly, Marie would fondly continue to call her personal 'Mech "Tea Bowl" until her death.[1]
Marie would die in the War of 3039, leaving behind her husband and three young children. Her eldest son Jeremiah would be deeply effected by her death, ultimately blaming First Prince Hanse Davion and causing a rift with his Davion-loyalist father that would lead him to leave the Highlanders and join ComStar.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Marie owned and operated a Thunderbolt affectionately known as the "Tea Bowl". Originally slated to her go to her eldest son Jeremiah after her death, when he left the Highlanders for ComStar her youngest son Danny inherited the 'Mech.[1]
Notes[edit]
- Historical: War of 3039 makes no mention of the Northwind Highlanders actually fighting in the War of 3039, this coupled with text in the novel Main Event stating that her oldest son Jeremiah left home six months after her death, and was away for twenty years potentially places her death around 3033/3034.
