Maxwell Manufacturing, Inc. was a Terran Hegemony producer of IndustrialMechs. With that experience the Terran Hegemony encouraged the company to submit a faster BattleMech design that could outperform the Mackie. This was the Griffin BattleMech, which remained in production for several decades. The company was dissolved in the 2490s after financial irregularities and corporate officer misconduct and its assets were absorbed by Earthwerks Incorporated.[1]
