BRIEFING[edit]
Capellan leaders are offering a contract to eliminate the Commonality political leaders. If successful, this mission will bring a quick end to the conflict on Styk. The payment for the mission is top notch.
Castle: The Capellans have made a rather bold offer for us to switch sides in the conflict on Styk. Actual mission objectives are need-to-know. The pay is high, but you can be sure this mission is on the less-than-legal side of the line.
DURING MISSION[edit]
Krull: Greetings, Spectre One. Your mission objectives are search and destroy on three separate targets. I will upload Nav Points and Target ID as mission progresses. Only designated Targets need to be eliminated. All other enemies may be avoided at your discretion.
Spectre: I get it. Take out the competition before they can get on the same page.
Krull: Silence! Your briefing is not complete. Communication is to be kept one-way, for your protection as much as ours. Any outside broadcasts from your comm system will constitute a contract breach. Key twice to confirm.
Spectre: <click> <click>
Krull: Excellent. Proceed to Nav Alpha and await Target ID.
Krull: Target confirmed. Designated Chopper Prime. Destroy Target.
Krull: Confirmed kill. Evac immediate area. Second Target unconfirmed. Move to Nav Point Beta and await confirmation.
Krull: Target confirmed. Designated Limo Prime. Destroy Target.
Krull: Confirmed elimination. Break contact and make best speed to Nav Point Gamma.
Krull: Target acquired. Designated ‘Mech Prime. Eliminate Target.
Spectre: Krull, this is Spectre. Engaging full enemy lance. This is way beyond contract parameters.
Krull: Silence, you simpleton oaf! You were hired for your alleged personal skill. I’m authorizing double pay for hazardous oversight. Continue mission!
Spectre: Double pay? I’m on it!
Krull: You only have to destroy ‘Mech Prime. After that, break contact and exit mission area. Hold position!
Spectre: ‘Mech Prime destroyed. Breaking enemy contact.
Krull: Confirmed target eliminated. Your fee is being released from escrow along with hazard bonus. Farewell, mercenary.
AFTERMATH[edit]
Castle: I can safely say that I’m glad that’s over with. The Styk Commonality is falling apart, and there’s no more business for mercenaries here. The FedCom Civil War is heating up elsewhere. Pretty soon, we’ll have to align with Steiner or Davion to keep working.
