They were the militia of New Syrtis and as such, a traditional, beloved unit of the Capellan March.
They took part in the fightings on New Syrtis, when the planet was invaded by pro-Katherine-forces. In February 3066, the unit tried to do her Duke George Hasek a favor, by wiping out the remains of the 11th Avalon Hussars. They acted alone, to present this victory as a surprise. However, they fell into a trap and were destroyed as a unit by the 11th Avalon Hussars and the 4th Donegal Guards. Only few survived.[1]

As of 3025 the commanding officer is Major General Jara Dahar.[2]
As of 3050 to 3062 the Commanding Officer was Leftenant General Tia Caruthers, later she promoted as Major General.[3][4][5]
As of 3067 the commanding officer was Major General Kenneth Williams.[6]
As of 3085 the commanding officer is Leftenant General Sean Thompson-Hasek.[7]

The subunits of these militia RCT uses prepared fortifications to pin the enemy in place, wit the goal to tear them slowly down.[5]
