Rank Colonel
Profession MechWarrior

Colonel Scott Hinesick was a MechWarrior serving in the Eridani Light Horse during the thirty-first century.[1][2]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Hinesick was, as of 3058, described as a slight, wiry man with pale skin. He had lost his right arm in a training accident, and therefore sported a prosthetic replacement.[1]

History[edit]

Early Career[edit]

As of 3025, Hinesick was a MechWarrior in the Strike Lance, 4th Heavy Assault Company, 82nd Heavy Cavalry Battalion of the 71st Light Horse Regiment.[2]

Assignment to the Training Cadre[edit]

In 3039, Hinesick was involved in a training accident, resulting in the loss of his right arm. After his recovery he was deemed unfit for front-line service, and so was assigned to the staff of the Eridani Light Horse's Training Battalion. He would rise to the rank of Colonel by 3058 and be in command of the training cadre. In this training role Hinesick did much to help rebuild the Eridani Light Horse and the 71st Light Horse Regiment in particular after the War of 3039, assisting them to regain full strength

By 3059 he was considered an old friend of Brevet General Ariana Winston, being the only person who knew various personal facts about her, such as her preference for Northwind Scotch.[1]

When briefing the senior Light Horse commanders on Task Force Serpent while on Kikuyu in December 3058, Winston however ordered Hinesick to remain behind, to continue training new recruits for the Light Horse while they were in the Clan Homeworlds.[1] Hinesick tried to get his old friend to allow him to join the taskforce, but despite his distress at being left with the Light Horse's dependents, she refused his request.[3]

Focht War College[edit]

In October 3060 Hinesick was appointed as the commandant of the Focht War College, which incorporated most of the Light Horse's training personnel, who had been left behind in the Inner Sphere.[4]

Philosophical and/or political views[edit]

Even more than most members of the Eridani Light Horse, whose history tended to make supporters of a restoration of the Star League, Hinesick was a staunch proponent of a return to a new Star League.[5]

BattleMechs[edit]

Hinesick was known, before his injuries, to pilot an Archer BattleMech.[2]
