[edit] Description
The Swift was created for use on Star League's Aerospace Fighter Carriers. The fighter performed in interceptor and recon roles. The craft was to schedule to enter service in 2675, but suffered from technincal problem that delayed the craft's deployment until 2682. The fighter featured sophisticated computer system that allowed the pilot to verbally order the craft perform functions while pilot was busy.[1] The ship was renowed for being swiftest made in the Inner Sphere, only surpassed by the Clans's own aerospace fighters. Kerensky's Exodus took 100 of the fighters with him. The fighter did not survive the onslaught of the Succession Wars in service of the Great Houses. However, the fighter remained in production for service Comstar.

The fighter primary weapon is Madell-UD6 Medium Laser, it is co-act with McCorkel Small Laser for close range. Both weapons are mounted in nose of the fighter.
The craft is protected by only two tons of standard armor. The craft's engine, Shinobi 275-A gives it incredible and maneuverability to survive encounters with opposing forces.

- Swift C - The Clans upgraded this venerable craft with Clan technology. This included upgrading its weaponry to Extended Range versions of the original's lasers.[2]
