Talk:Alpha strike (Tactic)

Raison de etre[edit]

When I linked to this article, I envisioned it as one article in, let's say, Category:BattleTech tactics. It could be accompanied by volley fire and whatever else people want to contribute. Perhaps both of those articles would be better served in the Dictionary. I have no real preference, but both need something. Scaletail 17:41, 23 October 2007 (CDT)

I envisage the dictionary a 'one-stop shop', there to give a quick grounding in the subject, and nothing more. When it comes down to tactics, I'm sure there is more than enough there for an actual article. Mayhap a single article, discussing each type of tactic, then (if necessary) a seperate one for each in further detail. I'll try to explain this better, latter if you're not getting where I'm coming from. --Xoid 23:48, 23 October 2007 (CDT)
Actually, I like that idea. Scaletail 16:47, 25 October 2007 (CDT)
I think the idea is great. We could easily provide a general "Tactics" page with other articles that are broken out to discuss complex ideas more in-depth (using the Main tag). Sounds like a plan! Bdevoe 16:49, 25 October 2007 (CDT)
Like all great ideas, I stole it from Wikipedia. XD --Xoid 00:55, 26 October 2007 (CDT)
Well, I've added Death from Above which I think fits under the "tactics" category you guys are discussing here. Though at the moment it seems a little underpopulated. Haruspex 07:39, 14 February 2008 (CST)
