Talk:Cartago Conflict

Source[edit]

Does anyone know which source this conflict is detailed in? BrokenMnemonic (talk) 03:18, 21 May 2013 (PDT)

Type faster Cyc! Star League pg 29 and Handbook: House Davion pg 28Cyc (talk) 04:10, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
Thank you - I'd not heard of the various classes of Federated Suns WarShips mentioned in this article, and I'd like to get articles for them started while I'm working on the various ship articles. I'll go and have a read now... BrokenMnemonic (talk) 04:46, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
I've checked both books, and neither makes any mention of Audacious-class, Sunburts-class or Triad-class WarShips - I'm hoping those are identified in another source, but I have no idea where. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 11:07, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
Found them, bad news is found them via Google rather than CTRL-F on a PDF. They are from Technical Readout: 2800, a fan--TRO for BattleTech: Shattered Dawn, a fan AU, also seen them on a geocities mirror of the creator's website and Solaris7.com. Also likely had Heavy Metal files generated so another possible route. The Audacious-class being lackluster against the Hegemony is almost a word for word copy from these sources. So it's not only fanon but also plagiarized from another source? In that case, delete. Frabby (talk) 15:10, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
As mentioned above, the event does exist, just the canon sources don't reference the warships named. I just need to type faster and not get side-tracked by stupid things (like work) and redeem the page. Cyc (talk) 16:39, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
Ok, suspension of deletion until 28 May (at earliest). Thanks, Cyc.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 18:51, 21 May 2013 (PDT)
Is the THS Sparks mentioned in the description of the Battle for Kentares in this article a fan-addition as well? It seems like an odd name for a WarShip. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 00:08, 22 May 2013 (PDT)
