Canon Oddity[edit]
Eva according to the lore made for her, is a Trueborn warrior. In the sourcebook (Field Manual: Crusader Clans, p. 78 "Dream Destroyed - Wolf Trap") which details the claiming of the Star of Clan Ice Hellion warriors says that it was a Star of a "Freeborn Binary" that is claimed. Are we to assume that Eva, a Trueborn Star Commander, is in charge of the Star Ward took? Even though she isn't a Freeborn like what is detailed to only be in the Binary?
- It doesn't give us the breakdown for the Binary, just stating it was formed from "some" of the best Freeborns available, that leaves it open that it wasn't 100% Freeborn after all.Cyc (talk) 18:00, 25 December 2017 (EST)
- It is a good point, it does only state "He formed this Binary from some of the best available freeborn warriors". Eva is though is already part of the "Lithe Kill Keshik" and normally Clans don't move warriors (Clan IH rarely ever did due to it's "Pack Mentality") unless there is a heavy need to do so. - IMO yes, TRO:3058 Upgrade indicates it was intended as spoilsport for Cage's chance to "defect" to Wolves which matches the intention of why good Freeborns were shifted over. The fact she almost beat Ward indicates Ana Taney's intentions - triage the losses by sacrificing Freeborns and shame Freeborn hating Cage at the same time, while also hopefully removing the hated Ward.Cyc (talk) 18:22, 25 December 2017 (EST)
