Talk:First Combine-Dominion War

Rename proposal[edit]

It should be noted that in-universe name for this has been named Dominion-Combine War. However, as of Heretic's Faith, that this likely should be listed as the 1st Dominion-Combine War, since a 2nd Dominion-Combine War has accrued between the Dark Age and the Jihad. -- Wrangler 15:47, 4 May 2009 (PDT)

Where was this name noted? Most sources I have seen refer to it as the "Ghost Bear War", but that is because they are from the Combine's POV. --Scaletail 17:46, 4 May 2009 (PDT)
Technical Readout: 3058 Upgrade pg. 190 - Star Captain Samuel Devalis, then you have Heretic's Faith, pg. 26, names second conflict as the 2nd Dominion-Combine War. -- Wrangler 19:14, 4 May 2009 (PDT)
Field Manual: Update, pg. 60 (Ghost Bear section) refers to it as the "Combine War". Pp. 104, 109, 110, etc. (Combine section) "Ghost Bear War". Combat Equipment, pg. 54 "Ghost Bear-Combine War". Mercenaries Supplemental, pp. 20, 29 "Ghost Bear War". TRO:3050U, pg. 26 "Dominion War". TRO:3050U, pg. 122 "Combine-Ghost Bear War". TRO:3050U, pg. 206 "Combine-Dominion War".
There are a wide variety of names this conflict has been given. I think to try to point to any one of them as the "right" one is flawed. The most recent source I listed has three different names for it (one of which happens to be the title of this article). I like the current title because it does not favor one side over another and contains the most common name for the conflict, "Ghost Bear War". --Scaletail 19:24, 5 May 2009 (PDT)

Merge Question[edit]

Recently someone has created alternate article, which only specific on unit actions of the Combine-Ghost Bear War. Should this actually put in this article? I don't really care for the format of the other page. -- Wrangler 20:45, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

What is that article? --Scaletail 00:44, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Dominion War - Just who took who. I'm not that crazy about the content myself. It has no sources/references, it similar format to the old Wolf/Jade Falcon Sourcebooks. It appears to be incomplete from glance at it. -- Wrangler 00:53, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
