Talk:Fourth Succession War

Territorial Changes: none?[edit]

Is this anti Capellan hate speech or am I missing something here? I mean, yeah, the war and the territorial changes were pretty extensive. Maybe too extensive to list every change in full detail, but in that case there should be a sign that this article / this part is a stub or something like that imo. 178.201.210.148 13:06, 4 February 2021 (EST)

The article has a "Clean-up" tag on it indicating that it is not upto standard, actually looking at the article it needs a lot of work done to it. The team of active editors is actually quite small at the moment and nobody that I am aware of is actively working on conflict articles. As such, if you see something you know to be a mistake and can back up with references feel free to correct it.--Dmon (talk) 13:31, 4 February 2021 (EST)

some title[edit]

It never ceases to amaze me how anyone can keep a straight face in regards to the 4th SW. You only need to look at the TO & E of both sides to see the sheer ridiculousness of the situation. And yet the FS tries so very hard to make it look like a great victory. HA!!! ---Aldous

It's not so much the victory as the scope of the victory. The FS crushed the Capellans with minimal losses on their own side. They conquered half the Confederation while losing only a handful of worlds to the Combine. Even in 3067, with all the reversals the Suns had suffered, the nation was still larger than it had been in 3025. That shows the magnitude of the conquest. --Scaletail 15:19, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Remember the Liao military was actually pretty good at the time. Yes, it was smaller (40 regiments), but it had a fraction of the worlds to guard. There are reasons why things like that don't happen more often. ClanWolverine101
This will my next project with all units deployment, loses and gains and maps, a hugh project but thats life... Neuling 22:54, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
The NAIS Atlas is the obvious first place to go. 2 observations :

1) If Takashi Kurita hadn't been obsessed with Wolf's Dragoons, he could have taken half the Draconis March, including Robinson. That would have been a political and military nightmare for the new AFFC. 2) Steiner was attacking Kurita. Liao was just trying to survive. The FWL could have done ANYTHING it wanted. It wound up LOSING worlds to the Tikonov Republic (!!!!) and eventually the FC. This included Oliver, with a mech factory. That's insane. ClanWolverine101

What amaze me even more, is how some people underestimate the successes of the LCAF against the Draconis Combine. The DCMS was a far stronger opponent than the CCAF. In fact, the LCAF faced more seasoned and more numerous enemy troops. The Lyrans also had to advance along a broad front to keep the DCMS to occupied to invade the FedSuns. CoKien

Free Worlds League[edit]

I did some editing to the two FWL sections, they were inaccurate or out of date. I used information directly from both NAIS 4th Succession War Atlases. If anyone with skill or an account wants to clean them up a little, make nice little boxes like in the other sections, I'd appreciate that. But the information itself is 100% canon. 99.35.10.246 14:09, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Looks good! ClanWolverine101 21:17, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Formatting on Planets[edit]

Question : Some of the planets in the article are listed normally, others are all caps. Should this be streamlined? ClanWolverine101 21:21, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Definitely. All-Caps does not belong into articles except in the case of abbrevations, acronyms or true all-caps titles (like AFFS, TAG or D.R.T.). Frabby 07:42, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
