Taurians and the Hatchetman[edit]

As of TRO:3050U, page 48, the Concordat produced the Hatchetman between 3054 and 3066. The Rommel is still retconned out. Dirk Bastion 12:58, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Wrong description[edit]

Then Story to the Hatchetman says it´s the first new Mech in over 100 years, but the Merlin was created in 3010. Is the Merlin wrong dated or the description an error? Heretic1311 14:09, 19 May 2012 (PDT)

The description is accurate, originally it was first in 100 years fully stop but newer sources stress the first in 100 years in the Inner Sphere part, qualifying the Merlin as originating from the Periphery.
Ah, i got it. I was confused by the fact, that the Merlin is also used by FWL and ComStar, thinking it´s a Marik design. Sorry and thanks. Heretic1311 01:15, 22 May 2012 (PDT)
Furthermore the Merlin was kind of a FrankenMech, while the Hatchetman was build from the scratch up.Harry 06:53, 22 May 2012 (PDT)

A FrankenMech would mean it uses parts of others, the Merlin only uses "proven components and technology", like the Ford Ka and VW Beetle. IMO it does not cross that line, but you´re right, the Hatchetman is totally new. Only the AC and Lasers are standard. Heretic1311 22:13, 22 May 2012 (PDT)
