Discrepancy between cannon sources and citation error[edit]

Greetings, I've been a decade+ user of Sarna but never registered before. Old school BT'er from the early 90's getting back into it with my kids.

I found a double error on the "Planting" page, and thought I'd post here to seek some feedback before attempting any kind of edit or correction.

1) the citation #35 for "Turning the Tables" should read for "ClanTroops"(FASA1664)-pg 38 - 39, as that is the source book in question and "Turning the Tables" is the name of the scenario referenced.

2) The scenario in clantroops directly contradicts multiple other sources (Clan Wolf sourcebook, Objective Raids) in describing Planting as Jade Falcon garrisoned world, whereas all other sources list it as a Wolf captured and garrisoned world.

I'm trying my hand at BT fiction with a twist towards my own experiences in the world of special operations and intelligence gathering and by a fluke, Planting came up as a relevant world in my story, prior to having read the scenario in "ClanTroops".

I was hoping to help generate some background information for the world, but thought it would be a good idea to see how issue like this are typically resolved - if at all.

Would love to hear back from anyone else interested in this issue.

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben, it looks like the ClanTroops entry "Turning the Tables" is incorrect as it contradicts all other sources (past and present). However, I don't know of any official statement whether this section of the book is no longer canon. -Volt (talk) 18:15, 7 December 2020 (EST)
Clantroops is riddled with continuity errors. When there is a conflict, unless otherwise stated by The Powers That Be, newer sources supercede old. You can point out conflicts in the "Notes" section of an article if you wish.--Cache (talk) 12:02, 8 December 2020 (EST)
Clantroops, Luthien, Objective Raids and the first Periphery book are all seen as "secondary sources" bordering on Apocryphal due to the high number of issues.--Dmon (talk) 12:16, 8 December 2020 (EST)
