Is it just me or is this mech a inner sphere general Jinggau? Aside from the humanoid appearence, it´s pretty much the same: same speed, has jump capacity and combines a gauss with a medpuls with 4 ERmeds as backup. Optically, i prefer it to the Jinggau, but seems to be almost identical. greetings Heretic1311 (talk) 10:10, 15 November 2014 (PST)

That's actually really weird... I wonder if they ever noticed that those are exactly identical except for the armor? -BobTheZombie (talk) 10:28, 15 November 2014 (PST)
They aren't identical. The Scourge has a slightly higher BV, in large part because it's equipped with 11.5 tons of light ferro-fibrous armour. The Jinggau has 12.5 tons of standard armour, and 1 additional double heat sink. There are also differences in the weapon layout; the Scourge puts the ER Medium Lasers in the right arm, and the Medium Pulse laser in the left. The Jinggau has them the other way around. The Scourge has the Gauss Rifle in the left arm and ammo in the left torso; on the Jinggau, the Gauss Rifle and ammo are in the right arm and torso. The Scourge has 4 Jump Jets; the Jinggau has 5. The Scourge splits its jump jets across the left and right torsos and legs; the Jinggau puts the jump jets in the left and right legs and the centre torso. The Scourge also has a couple of quirks, which the Jinggau doesn't, and the Scourge has a 2-ton Actuator Enchancement System in the right arm. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 13:22, 15 November 2014 (PST)
So they differ internally with slightly variation about the modules and their positioning. This still makes them identical in the main aspects. Weight, mobility and weapon layout (though mirrored) are pretty much identical. But the Scourge seems to be IS general, while the Jinggau is Liao exclusive (or at least as far as i know) Heretic1311 (talk) 14:23, 15 November 2014 (PST)
Lots of 'Mechs are very similar in terms of weight, mobility and weapon loadout. One of them has a more accurate weight system, one has noticeably more armour, one has a longer jump distance than the other - there are enough differences to make them distinct from each other, particularly with the quirks thrown in. What Does This Mean?[edit]

The phrase "Less and more numerous version of the Scourge..." under the Variants section really confuses me! What is it supposed to mean?? Nuclear-Fridge (talk) 02:53, 6 March 2015 (PST)

I corrected this, only one variant is given, i dont know of other variants.--Doneve (talk) 03:08, 6 March 2015 (PST)
Thanks! I don't like to make changes when I have not seen the original printed material. Nuclear-Fridge (talk) 03:12, 6 March 2015 (PST)
