Damage Absorbance and Damage Capacity[edit]

The article is unclear how the Shield fails. Can the Shield absorb up to the Damage Absorbance value a number of times equal to the Damage Capacity, before breaking? Or, can the Shield only absorb the Damage Absorbance before breaking, aka extra armor points? (Archangel13 (talk) 00:13, 12 March 2022 (EST))

The wiki is purposefully moving away from rules because it is extremely difficult to be 100% true to the rules without resorting to plagiarism, This article is a very good example of the wiki including far too much rules material as it is. A better option for having your questions answered would be to go and ask on one of the official BT forums or purchase the indicated book that the information here was sourced from.--Dmon (talk) 03:31, 12 March 2022 (EST)
Makes sense. Is there a Policy on cleaning up of said rules? I'd be willing to help clean up the language, and cite the Rule books directly. --Archangel13 (talk) 05:53, 12 March 2022 (EST)
As of right now we don't have a firm policy on how we are going to handle the issue. BattleTechWiki:Project GameRules was created just under a month ago with the intention of setting out exactly such a policy.--Dmon (talk) 07:31, 12 March 2022 (EST)
