Sven Newmark did NOT receive help from Davion intelligence agents in setting up his false identity as Reginald Starling. By the time Francesca Jenkins and Agent Curaitis finally found him he was already fully entrenched in his new identity. By then all the agents could do was try to befriend him in his new identity as Starling, which Jenkins finally did, but not long before he was finally killed by Loki agents. The Davion agents had absolutely nothing to do with him setting up his new identity; he accomplished that entirely through his own ingenuity. He was something of an espionage and logistics prodigy, after all. I've read this exact same summary of events in several places now, (and it really irks me) so I can only assume that someone, somewhere, wrote up a sloppy, poorly researched summary of the events without ever having actually read the source material, and then it went onto become copypasta; other people copy-and-pasting it everywhere without actually reading the original material themselves to find the truth of the matter. This is exactly how bad rumors propagate, with no one bothering to fact-check with the original source before posting a wiki article.

I will go ahead and do my best to correct the erroneous parts of the article, and do my best to make it conform to the events of the novel. Please, PLEASE, people, at least try to research the subjects of your articles before you post then. --RyokoMocha 15:56, 3 January 2012 (PST)

Ryoko - You are quite correct, of course. However, it may be that one of the sourcebooks (erroneously) states that Davion agents were involved at that point. These inconsistencies happen often. ClanWolverine101 17:55, 3 January 2012 (PST)

Ahh, that could go a long way to explaining it! :) Thank you very much, ClanWolverine101! I was always totally baffled about where all that bunk about Davion agents setting up Newmark's identity as Staring came from! It always really bothered me, as a fan of the whole "Starling" conspiracy monger character from Interstellar Players I and II and the subsequent similar books. Thanks so much for clarifying that for me. :) --RyokoMocha 07:57, 4 January 2012 (PST)
