Here's a bucket of references: The Tabiranth was also a popular critter in the MW1 era. You can find a passing reference to it in the FWL Sourcebook and probably MW1 RPG (where, IIRC, Jardine is also first mentioned), though I don't have MW1 handy - I just recall being fascinated with the giant riding cats when I was a kid.

The "tabby" gets a passing reference under Off-Road movement rates in MW3, pg188 ("More specialized mounts include the tabiranth - a feline native to the marik world of Jardine, prized as a hunting mount..."). The CBT:Companion has a detailed write-up of the Tabiranth on pg147-148, which is also cross-referenced by the new House Marik Handbook also addresses the Tabiranth (pg148), saying, "Additional FWL creatures may also be found in CBTComp...and the tabiranth of lost Jardine (pp. 147-148)."--Cray 04:30, 10 February 2009 (PST)

Thanks Cray, that is actually very helpful. Although - urx! Did you realize that the (old) Marik HB has indexed the passing referenced on page 39 (talking about political acumen like "a Tabiranth trader") as "Tabiranth (world)"? Looks like another lost world entry, although I'm willing to assume this is a genuine oversight. Frabby 04:55, 10 February 2009 (PST)
Yeah, I saw that in the Marik SB index. It's a straight error - contemporary references mentioned Jardine as the homeworld of the Tabby and, IIRC, you could buy a Tabby as a riding animal in MW1. --Cray 05:56, 10 February 2009 (PST)
