Overview[edit]

The Thirtieth Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History[edit]

In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XIX Corps, Eighth Army, to District 1 of the Free Worlds League Military Region and then transferred to District 3 by 2765, to take part in the Periphery Uprising.[1] The Thirtieth was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[1]

Officers[edit]

In 2764 the Commanding officer was Lieutenant General Vonda Heffington.[2]

Tactics[edit]

The Division had a well-deserved reputation for refusing to retreat while in defending prepared positions, even in the face of high casualties.[2]

Composition[edit]

As an SLDF Infantry division the Thirtieth would have been formed from two Brigades of Grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[3]
