Torpedo Bombs are the air-dropped version of Torpedoes. Based on principles since before humanity achieved space flight, Torpedo Bombs have nevertheless declined in use since the waning of naval warfare in the thirty-first century.
Torpedo Bombs weigh one ton and take up one bomb slot. Torpedo bombs follow the standard bombing rules, however they target naval units (surface or submerged), as well as units flying at water level (hovercraft), instead of hexes. If successful, the torpedo inflicts full damage and applies a modifier to the Hull Breach roll. Torpedo bombs dropped on targets other than naval units inflict only half their damage.
