Overview[edit]
Primarily the operators of the Copper Queen Mine, a spectacularly rich copper mine located deep in Towne's Eigophian Mountains, Towne Mining also expanded operations into Western Hyboria where the company discovered new veins of high-grade copper ore. TMI operates its own processing plants at the mine heads, with the company having an exclusive contract with the Turanian Transport Company to ship the refined copper to the world's capital city of Port Howard for off-world shipment.[1]
Towne Mining Incorporated would also be a key element in Chandrasekhar Kurita's efforts against the Kokuryu-kai, Uncle Chandy purchasing both TMI and the Turanian Transport Company in 3057 as an excuse to deploy the 17th Recon Regiment mercenary unit to defend his assets, in truth to foil the attempt by Kokuryu-kai member Jeffrey Kusunoki's Fifteenth Dieron Regulars to invade and take control of Towne to rekindle war between the Draconis Combine and Federated Suns. Towne Mining employees from Copper Queen Mine, all skilled explosive experts, would prove instrumental in ensuring Camacho's Caballeros successfully defeated the rogue Combine troops.[1]
