Operation SCOUR[edit]

Wrangler - I see your point. I was tired of so many red-links popping up, every time an article was updated with info from that part of the Jihad. I would not protest if you decided to delete the stub. ClanWolverine101 14:04, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi ClanWolverine101, it bothers me to have place holder with little no info in it. I make my share of mistakes when i make articles, so i try to cite them as much i can. I think Sarna.net getting bad rap if we keep put near empty articles out verse ones with content. I'll see if i can get myself setup to do real write up on the event. I haven't felt i've fully grasp entire operation, since its so scattered amoung articles. Its still Hot Spots book with holes missing on whats going on. I was hoping to wait for next source book since its suppose have bit more on the war and last years. Take care -- Wrangler 15:29, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Response[edit]

Hey Wrangler, I will listen to any advice and think about it. Can you do me a favor, please? I will inlcude the data from the Techmanual into a infobox

Weapon / Item
Cost
Availability
Introduced (Affiliation)
Extinction
Reintroduced (Affiliation)

In my opinion it will improve the knowledge of technology and how to use it. I know this would be a great task but you now my, how bigthe task i will do it until its finished. Unsigned -- User:Neuling

Hello Neuling, To be honest, i don't think that information should be in the info box itself. Its darn well important, i think it should be outside the infobox in the article itself. I personally would rather see only vital thing info going into the info box such as Cost and availablity. I'm not crazy about how Battletech lists availiablity i'm the opinion there no good references there least on Sarna, to make sense of it. -- Wrangler 13:48, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

sword & dragon profile[edit]

Hey wrangler, no problem write this article. I will erase it frome my to do list. Neuling 19:11, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Taking Liberties[edit]

Wrangler, I hope you don't mind this but I've taken the liberty of adding a Direction Appreciated award to your board for your work with Guardsman. I've also consolidated your Random Act of Appreciation awards into one that shows you've earned the ribbon three times. Onward and upward!--Mbear 23:06, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Thank you Mbear, i appreciate that. I just done it was felt needed to be done. Thank you again! -- Wrangler 00:01, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Virtual World Entertainment[edit]

Wrangler, take another look at Virtual World Entertainment. Other than moving it, I also re-wrote it to read less like an advert to non-BattleTech fans and more informative of the business (and their pods). I think I may have hit it correctly, but be the second pair of eyes, please. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 18:43, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

It looks good Rev, it doesn't read like advertisement anymore which was my main concern. I do wish there was some more history on them. They've been around since 1990, with advent of the Battletech Center in Chicago, If i'm not mistaken. -- Wrangler 23:33, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

Information 4th Tau Ceti Rangers[edit]

It exist alot of information about this famous merc command. Here a list:

Field Manual Mercanery p.84-85
Field Manual Capellan Confederation p. 94
Field Manual update p. 27
Camo Specs p.43

I hope this list could help you. Neuling 06:10, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

That is useful, hadn't been concentrating on it merc unit for while. I'll start that this coming week to finish up its history. Thanks Neuling! -- Wrangler 02:12, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Record Sheets[edit]

Hy Wrangler, good talk to Rev about the RS, i think the RS: TRO3085 - Project Phoenix, Cutting the Edge etc, are only published as pdf's, i can't found any mention there became a publication as hardcover!!Can you give me any info about this goal, thanks.--Doneve 03:38, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Hello MBear, it i believe a goof happened the actual dates to end their Moratorium periods for these articles are missing. Talk:Record Sheets: 3085 Unabridged — Project Phoenix. Would you weigh in to see what should be done? I have rough idea when they came out, since i am a vivid purchaser of the PDFs. So mine download date are within the day of their release. I asked Rev, he felt you would be better at resolving this issue. I'm only but a averge editor, not administor. -- Wrangler 13:37, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

It looks like these are PDF exclusives, so you're correct. I thought they were going to be published, but now that I think about it that would be a big task. So I'll go ahead and remove the Moratoriums from the relevant files. (We still have three days until The Cutting Edge is available.) Thanks for asking!--Mbear 14:01, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Whoah, congradulations on becoming Published! I'll be happy do the Record Sheet related updates, I just needed to confirm to begin them or not. Are you going be less involved in the site since your more involved with Canon BT? -- Wrangler 21:34, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Faith of the 1st Kavellrie[edit]

The 1st is mentioned in brush wars and the 20 years update to. But I have no clue what the destiny of the command was. It's strange that a veteran unit disappeared with out an evidence. Tnx for your post... Neuling 20:49, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

No problem, CGL has this habit of having new material outdating the old info. Effect 20 Year update's entry for the 1st Kavalleri is like no-longer canon. The writers of Brush Wars, forgot or didn't look in the older books like the 20 Year Update. I don't think everyone has copy of the old sourcebooks as handy others do. I forgot to list the 1st Kavalleri in the 2nd Kavalleri article i did. It would been better help people finding out what happened to them. Oh well. -- Wrangler 00:15, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Era Report: 3062[edit]

Hy Wrangler, please notice Era Report: 3062, falls under moratorium, i removed your bibliography tag.--Doneve 01:05, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Oops! I'm sorry. I forgot to check. i've forced to do my world off-line lately. I'll remove other info on it.
Not a big think, please don't remove your edits but you can leave a minor note, to the target article, thanks.--Doneve 01:10, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Umipa[edit]

Hey, Wrangler. Thanks again for notifying me about Umipa. I followed his/her post and thought it seemed different than other spammers. First off, s/he didn't hide a link in an existing article, but created a new one. Second, the link was only to Google...no hidden code to hide the link or where it was going. I suspect one of two things: a spammer checking to see how proactive we are on catching these things (I like to think very active) or a new wiki user, seeing how to do something, but having not yet discovered the sandbox or any of the How To articles. I've politely warned him/her and reminded that we (the community) would be watching, ready to help (or report). I'm letting you know why I handled Umipa differently than most, because you were the one to notify me. If you see anything else, please let me know. Oh, yeah:

Vandal Cop Award

Thanks!--Revanche (talk|contribs) 01:56, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Looks like your insticts (and mine too, I guess) were correct. Umipa was a spammer. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 03:18, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi Rev, thanks for the reward. I've been having trouble with my computer to be on, so sorry for the delay. -- Wrangler 21:55, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Imperial City[edit]

Had to say I really like those pictures you brought in from Black Dragon; they're really informative. Now I just have to determine if Unity Palace and the Imperial Palace are the same entity.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 11:07, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

No problem, i thought there was strong need for them since right now there is none. I think the Imperial Palace and Unity Palace are likely the same place with multiple names due to the various authors over the years. Latest sourcebook for Luthien, was Jihad Turing Point: Luthien, which only uses the name Imperial Palace as the name. Maybe Ben Rome's Handbook: Kurita will clear it up when it gets release within year or two from now. -- Wrangler 22:53, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
