The Warthog is an old Assault 'Mech design rediscovered and put back into production by Clan Star Adder. The Warthog is a short but broad-shouldered design and has a stylized cockpit similar to that of an Atlas or Pillager.

The primary configuration of the Warthog packs a hefty punch in close range, sporting 2 LB 20-X Autocannons and 4 Heavy Medium Lasers for close combat. In addition, the Warthog carries two ATM-6 launchers, allowing the flexibility to strike at range or enhance its already potent close range firepower.

The primary configuration is also equipped with a Laser Anti-Missile System and an ECM Suite.

The Warthog contains a total of 37 tons of pod space.

This BattleMech was published in an official BattleTech product, namely the MekPak 2 expansion for the MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries video game. However, although official, computer games are not considered among the sources for Canon unless the information is expressly confirmed as canonical elsewhere. By virtue of being an official albeit not positively canonical product, the game expansion and the 'Mechs presented therein including this one must be considered apocryphal.
