History

The Tenth Regulan Hussars were formed from the remains of the 3rd Free Worlds Guards. Though the unit joined the Word of Blake during the Jihad, they rapidly found out that the Word had no interest in helping Zion, the planet the Guards were assigned to protect. In 3077 they smashed into the Blakists and left the system. Traveling to the Principality of Regulus, they joined the Regulan Hussars.[1]

They were split into two smaller units which were stationed on Cameron and Muscida in 3079.[2] Later they would raid Dayr Khuna, driving the 1st Oriente Hussars off in disarray, but could not secure the world before the 4th Oriente Hussars arrived to reinforce the First. They did, however, manage to drop a "Davy Crockett" tactical nuclear weapon on the Fourth Oriente's drop zone.[1]

In 3095 the Tenth conducted a raid on Emris IV and faced the Steel Guard. The Tenth was trying to shed the image of collaborators with the Word of Blake, but they overstepped their bounds. The Steel Guard was able to repel the incursion.[3]

By 3145 the Tenth's fanatical behavior was moderated. This was largely due to the fact that several engagements between the Tenth and other forces caused more casualties than were strictly needed. The Tenth backed off to stop inflicting avoidable casualties.[4] They were stationed on Molokai in 3145.[5]

Officers

As of 3085, the commanding officer was Colonel Don Cardy.[6]
