Template:InfoBoxStateUnit The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars was a BattleMech Regiment in the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery.

History

Star League Era

Of the various brigades of Regulars active within the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery during the Star League era, the regiments of the Benjamin Regulars - including the Eleventh Benjamin Regulars - were considered to be the most flexible. This was a reflection of the reality that the Regulars could at any point be called on to fight against the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns, the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces or the Star League Defense Force, as a result of the Benjamin Military District bordering the Federated Suns, Lyran Commonwealth and Terran Hegemony. This was even acknowledged by the Internal Security Force, who gave the Eleventh and the other regiments of the Regulars more leeway than the average DCMS unit - an attitude the Benjamin Regulars repaid by limiting complaints and criticism to supply issues and local concerns, rather than anything to do with politics.[1]

Second Hidden War

The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars were the first DCMS unit to cross the border between the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns when the Second Hidden War began, attacking the Federated Suns world of Marduk on the 9th of March 2725.[2]

Third Succession War

The Eleventh participated in the Galtor campaign during 3025.

Fourth Succession War

During 3029 the Second Robinson Rangers were stationed on Breed. The Eleventh attacked the world on June 7th[3] of that year. The Rangers finally managed to push the Regulars back off world on June 19th.[4]

Clan Invasion

The Eleventh was destroyed during the Clan Invasion, and survivors were integrated into the 3rd Benjamin Regulars.

Tactics

Star League Era

The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars favored a strong combined-arms approach, but otherwise were a generalist unit, and deliberately fielded a wide range of BattleMech classes to encourage adaptation to changing circumstances.[1]

Third Succession War

During the Galtor Campaign, the Eleventh Benjamin Regulars was composed primarily of light 'Mechs and specialized in reconnaissance and fast strike missions.[6]
