Overview
The Twelfth Heavy Assault Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
Star League
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XXI Corps, First Army, to District 1 of the Lyran Commonwealth Military Region.[1] The Twelfth survived the New Vandenberg Uprising and the Hegemony Campaign and signed on as a mercenary unit with House Steiner by 2784.[1][2]
Mercenary
The Regiment was stationed on Alkalurops in 2786.[3] In 2791 they supported the 2nd Lyran Guards in their assault on Radostov, destroying the 14th Bolan Defenders in the fighting. Still in support of the Second they captured the planet of Herzberg in 2801 and Finsterwalde in 2803 alongside the 11th Arcturan Guards. Supporting the Eleventh they recaptured Radostov in 2808.[4] The Twelfth then settled into a garrison posting on the planet and was still in place in 2821.[3]

As an SLDF Heavy Assault regiment the Twelfth would have been composed primarily of heavy to assault 'Mechs with an company of attached artillery.[5]
